Rewards offered for two fugitives added to Texas 10 Most Wanted List

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Tieon Lashad Legan, 25, and Jaime Alanis, 37, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.
Cash rewards of up to $7,500 each are now being offered for information leading to either of their captures.
Legan is wanted for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and a parole violation.
Alanis is wanted for robbery and a parole violation. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.
Legan, who DPS said is affiliated with the Bloods gang, has been wanted since May 2020, when he violated his parole and absconded from his last known address in Fort Worth, Texas.
Clemency for trafficking survivors
One year ago this weekend, Gov. Greg Abbott announced the establishment of a “customized clemency application specifically for survivors of human trafficking or domestic violence.”
Created in coordination with the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, the application included a new section allowing applicants to “provide a statement to BPP about their human trafficking or domestic violence victimization.”
We applauded the governor’s initiative then, as we do now. At that time, we’d been calling on Abbott and the parole board to create such a process, what the governor has rightly called “a true path to redemption and restoration,” for more than a year.
Texarkana Man Added to Texas 10 Most Wanted List
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Marques Jujuan Thompson, 20, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive List. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and capture of Thompson. He is wanted for murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm, battery, stalking/intimidation and a probation violation. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.
According to the DPS website, Thompson has been wanted since August 2020, when he violated his probation and absconded from his last known address in Texarkana, Texas. Since then, Thompson is suspected of being involved in multiple shootings, including a fatal one that occurred on Jan. 12 in Texarkana. In addition to Texarkana, Thompson also has ties to the Dallas Metroplex area.
