BUFFALO, N.Y. Just like how Resurgence partnered with Erie County to encourage people to get their COVID-19 vaccine, Flying Bison is now too.
The vaccine clinic will be at Flying Bison on Seneca Street on Wednesday, May 12 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Anyone 18 years old or older can make an appointment or walk in to get a vaccine, and when they do, you will get a coupon to have a free drink at Flying Bison.
Erie County’s long planned broadband internet program is starting to make some important headway.
It was announced that nearly $180 million in federal infrastructure dollars will be coming to the county to help pay for the installation of the 360 mile fiber optic network known as ErieNet.
Congressman Brian Higgins, who helped secure the funding, said having access to quality internet has become more far reaching since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
“It s all about economic independence and self sufficiency. And that s what we really want to promote, and give everybody an opportunity to access high speed internet,” Higgins said. “There s a healthcare component to it, there s an education component to it, there s a transportation component to it. There s just generally an economic and life quality component to it.”

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â No one is looking forward to a return to normal more than Resurgence Brewery owner Jeff Ware. Restaurants, bars, breweries, we were all hit really hard by COVID and we are all really antsy to get back to normalcy, Ware said.
His brewery is doing its part to encourage more vaccinations. A vaccine clinic will be held at the Chicago Street location on May 8th, from 11am to 6pm. Everyone who gets the vaccine dose gets a free beer through the county sponsored Shot and a Chaser event.
