Baltimore County police had numerous encounters with the suspect in Saturday s active shooting and fire in Woodlawn, and neighbors had three peace orders filed against him, authorities said Monday.
Officials said they received numerous calls around 6:40 a.m. Saturday for a shooting and fire in the 7500 block of Maury Road in Woodlawn. The first officer arrived at the scene at 6:44 a.m., police said.
Police said the officer found Everton Brown, 56, in the parking lot armed with a handgun. Police said the officer ordered Brown to drop the handgun numerous times. Police said Brown did not comply and the officer, and other officers who arrived, fired their service weapons at Brown. Four officers fired at Brown until they were able to take him into custody. He died as he was being taken a hospital.
