KANSAS CITY, Mo. â People in the Kansas City area are invited to Union Station to leave a note to remember loved ones lost to COVID-19.
Leaders from four KC-area jurisdictions gathered Tuesday to unveil a floral wall of remembrance designed by Studio Dan Meiners at the station.
Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr., Johnson County Commissioner Ed Eilert, Kansas City, Kansas, Mayor David Alvey and Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Quinton Lucas all left notes of their own at the wall.
JEFFERSON CITY-Â Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City will host a mega vaccination event next Friday and Saturday, Governor Mike Parson announced at his briefing Thursday.

The two-day event will operate from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20.
Approximately 6,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine have been reserved to fully vaccinate 3,000 Missourians each day.

Updated: 10:27 PM CST Feb 25, 2021 KMBC 9 News Staff A week after Kansas City, Missouri rolled back some of its COVID-19 restrictions, Jackson County in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas announced they are also relaxing some limitations.In a joint news release, the counties that make up some of the largest population pockets in the metro area announced bars and restaurants will no longer have closing restrictions or curfews placed on them.The counties said gatherings must remain limited to 50% of a building’s capacity. We continue to work together as a region to follow the data and take appropriate steps to protect public health, the counties said in a joint statement.
