Construction at Hendersonville High School is projected to be complete by August of 2022, 11 months early, and at a projected savings of $500,000 for the $59.1 million project.

Henderson County Public Schools Superintendent John Bryant told School Board members Monday he’s concerned about a possible surge in COVID-19 cases within the community that would affect the 23-school district when students return from winter break.
Bryant cited a decision made over the weekend to temporarily halt in-person classes at Bruce Drysdale Elementary because there weren’t enough teachers and support staff to operate the school safely.
Parents were notified of the change from fulltime in-person classes – referred to as Plan A - to fully remote learning at 5 p.m.Sunday. The remote learning classes will be held until at least Wednesday, according to Bryant, who recently was named superintendent after serving as associate superintendent.
