Tuckerton Man Wanted for Attempted Murder Caught in Atlantic City A Tuckerton man, wanted for shooting another man in Little Egg Harbor Township, has been taken into custody in Atlantic City. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer says Donald Rutter, 61, of Tuckerton had been on the loose since attempted murder charges were filed against him early this month. Authorities say that on the evening of  January 5th, it was Rutter who shot Thomas Jarvis in the midsection. The incident happened at Jarvis Marine on Radio Road. An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Vehicular Homicide Unit, Stafford Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit revealed that a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by Lowe was traveling eastbound on Stafford Avenue at an extremely high rate of speed. Lowe lost control of the vehicle as he was attempting to navigate a right-hand turn, and consequently crashed into a tree. A passenger in the front seat of the vehicle, Robert Parlin, 24, of Little Egg Harbor, succumbed to his injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tyler Dietlmeier, 28, of Toms River, pleaded guilty on Oct. 23 to theft by deception and criminal coercion and received seven and four-year state prison sentences, respectively, for each crime, according to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. The sentences will run concurrently. On Jan. 27, the Toms River Police were called to a home for a report of fraudulent activity that had occurred there and an investigation revealed that Dietlmeier had become friendly with the woman, under false pretenses, knowing that she was legally blind and lived alone, the office said.
