A MAN in his 70s has declared himself distraught after waiting on hold with Wightlink for more than four hours yesterday (Wednesday). Julian Moody, 76, had been subjected to five second bursts of Vivaldi s Four Seasons, punctuated by an automated message, since 9.45am, until after lunchtime. He said: I m not one to complain but I am getting desperate and keep wondering if they are ever going to reply. I don t have access to the internet and people who would usually help me with this are unavailable to assist at the moment. I waited 41 minutes to get through last time, and was expecting I may have to wait for an hour or so, but I m not sure what to do after more than four hours.
