Central Bucks police ask community to show victims support

Courtesy of Karen M. Edwards Members of the Victim Specialist Unit of the Central Bucks Regional, Plumstead and Buckingham police departments, are asking the community to show its colors during Victim Awareness Week, April 18-24.   Area residents and businesses are asked to “coloring the community” in pink, purple and yellow to demonstrate their support. Garden centers, grocery store floral departments, florists, funeral homes and doctor’s offices in particular are asked to create displays in those hues.  Knowing we are a community of ONE and sharing out symbolization of support for all to participate and share in is a gift that costs nothing more than creativity and ingenuity for our communities to be proud of a visual event to signal support of  color to the cause, organizers said.

James Christopher Carey, 52, was arraigned before District Judge Maggie Snow on 122 counts of child sexual assault related charges Wednesday. Bail was set at 10% of $100,000, which he posted, according to the DA s office.
