Kenosha, Wisconsin, is bracing for another round of protests as prosecutors prepare to announce whether they'll charge Rusten Sheskey, a white police officer who shot Jacob Blake, a Black man, and left him paralyzed.
JUSTICE was denied to yet another unarmed black victim of a shooting by white police officers in the United States late on Tuesday as a prosecutor announced that no charges would be brought in the case of Jacob Blake.
Mr Blake was shot in the back seven times by Wisconsin police officer Rusten Sheskey in August 2020, leaving him paralysed from the waist down.
Officers claimed that Mr Blake had threatened them with a knife, which was disputed by witnesses to the incident.
Video footage shot by a bystander showed officers grabbing Mr Blake by the shirt as he opened the door of his stationary car before riddling him with bullets.
