Silvey Metal Works Breaks Ground On 20,000 Square Foot Office And Warehouse Space Monday, December 14, 2020
Silvey Metal Works, located in Chattanooga, has produced stainless steel products for more than 50 years and will break ground on its new location at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The new location is at 2901 Riverport Road in the Centre South Riverport Industrial Park.
The groundbreaking ceremony will feature County Mayor Jim Coppinger, company representatives, the general contractor, architects and engineers.
Completion of the Silvey Metal Works building is targeted for June 2021.

The longtime chairman of the Sheriff s Civil Service Board has resigned after Facebook comments about Kamala Harris.
John Bucky McCulley was recently approved for a new three-year term by the County Commission.

Mr. McCulley later informed County Mayor Jim Coppinger that he was resigning.
