(Shutterstock) MINNEAPOLIS, MN A 35-year-old Ham Lake resident faces more than 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of criminal sexual conduct Thursday. The charges against Jory Wiebrand involve attacks that go back to 2015 and that occurred near the University of Minnesota. Wiebrand pleaded guilty Thursday in a remote court hearing to four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Wiebrand s negotiated prison sentence is 550 months nearly 46 years according to a news release.

Author: Minneapolis Police Department A Ham Lake man who sexually assaulted multiple young women he didn t know in southeast Minneapolis has pleaded guilty to five charges.  Jory Wiebrand, 35, pleaded guilty to five counts of criminal sexual conduct on Jan. 14, including four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, the Hennepin County Attorney s Office said. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said the negotiated sentence will mean Wiebrand spends more than 45 years (550 months) in prison. Wiebrand, who was first charged in April 2020, was charged in connection to more than a dozen cases dating from 2015-2020.
