Ranchi: The administration on Wednesday started conducting Covid tests in government schools of the district as a precautionary measure. Notably, government schools have started physical classes for students of Class VIII and above from March 1. A team from the health department covered several schools, such as Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Namkum and the government middle school in Pandra, among others. The regional deputy director of education, Arwind Vijay Bilung, who is also in-charge of the district education office, said, “The residential schools and those with large number of students have been selected for testing during the first phase of the drive.”
