Publication scheme - Traffic Commissioners for Great Britain

Traffic commissioner’s publication scheme The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires public authorities to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. Whilst each traffic commissioner is an independent office holder and data controller under the FOI Act, they will be treated as parties in common for the purposes of this publication scheme. The purpose of this publication scheme is to: specify the classes of information traffic commissioners have committed to publish say how traffic commissioners will make that information available say whether the information is available free of charge or on payment Most of the information covered by the publication scheme will be made available on the traffic commissioners’ pages on the GOV.UK website. If information is required in an alternative format, all reasonable steps will be taken to assist.

Student Living preference shares led gains on Tuesday

138 Student Living preference shares led gains during Tuesday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE). The preference shares gained 27 per cent to close at $7.90. Additionally 138 Student Living ordinary shares gained 20 per cent to $5.40. Meanwhile, Knutsford Express gained 15 per cent to $8.25, JMMB preference shares gained 12 per cent to $0.85, Stationery & Office Supplies gained 11 per cent $8.50 and Medical Disposables gained 10 per cent to $4.84. The top declining stocks were Guardian Holdings down 12 per cent to $789.99 and SSL Venture Capital down 12 per cent to $0.57. The JSE Combined Index declined by 5,649.09 points (1.31 per cent) to close at 426,181.08. The JSE Main Index declined by 6,266.26 points (1.46 per cent) to close at 424,325.49.

Local stock market up nearly one-third since COVID lows

The local stock market is officially bullish up nearly one-third since COVID-19 lows. The combined market closed at a 2021 high of 430,207 points on Friday from 337,500 points in late March 2020 or 27 per cent higher. Bull markets represent upswings in stock indexes which usually rise 20 per cent higher than a baseline comparative period. On Friday with four stocks gained over 10 per cent on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE). 138 Student Living Jamaica gained 23 per cent to $5.29, Lasco Financial Services gained 12 per cent to $3.20, Stationery & Office Supplies gained 12 per cent to $6.26, Guardian Holding gained 11 per cent to close at $969.00. The top declining stocks were Blue Power Group down 17 per cent to $3.45, Consolidated Bakeries down 15 per cent to $1.41 and JMMB Preference shares down 14 per cent to $2.40.
