The Branson School District, Cox Medical Center Branson and the Taney County Health Department are working together to bring the COVID-19 vaccine to the Branson area.
According to the health department, vaccinations will be given out at the high school activities center, which has its own parking lot and its own entrance and exit from the main campus.
Anyone in Taney County who is interested in getting a vaccine may submit their information at taneycohealth.org or coxhealth.com/covid/vaccine. Once they’re eligible and vaccines are available they’ll be contacted via phone, text or email to schedule an appointment.

A new hospital has opened in Monett to serve the wider public in Barry and Lawrence counties.
The new CoxHealth hospital is on the east side of Monett along highway 60. It replaces the old facility built in 1953.
The hospital will provide services such as emergency care, radiology, labor and delivery, surgery, and more.
You can read a press release from CoxHealth on the hospital below.
Anticipation, dedication and a lot of hard work have officially accomplished an effort years in the making: The new Cox Monett Hospital, which opened Jan. 22 at 6 p.m.
This year has been the worst. 2020 has been awful and Iâm glad itâs behind us. While last year headlined a ton of negativities, there were still a few bits of positive sprinkled throughout the last 12 months.Â
At this point we all know that a novel, or maybe two, could be written on the horrible things that were featured in 2020. However, I wanted my first published story of 2021 to be a positive one, so I felt a look back at some of the awesome, cool, fun, joyful and amazing things I got to do and cover in 2020 would be both appropriate and refreshing.
