Panchkula : , Dec 16 (IANS) Haryana Congress President Kumari Selja on Wednesday dismissed dissidence rumours in party s rank and file for the Panchkula Municipal Corporation polls.
Replying to a media query here, she said all party leaders and workers are united and working tirelessly for the victory of Upinder Ahluwalia as the Mayor and other wards party candidates.

Even before former President Pranab Mukherjee s memoir hits the book shelves, controversy around it has come out in the public. On the issue of the release of Mukherjee s last book ‘Presidential Years’, the siblings have come out in the open with their differences.
Son Abhijit has written to the publishers asking them not to release the book till he went through it and accused it of being malicious. He tweeted, I, the son of the author of the Memoir The Presidential Memoirs request you to kindly stop the publication of the memoir as well as motivated excerpts which is already floating in certain media platforms without my written consent.

Imphal, Dec 15 : Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday replaced Moirangthem Okendro as the party s Manipur state President with Govindas Konthoujam, following the party s poor performance in various matters including the recent assembly bypolls, a party statement said.
Congress General Secretary, Organisation, K.C.Venugopal, in a press release issued from Delhi, said that Konthoujam, a senior Congress MLA and former Minister, has been appointed as the new President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee by the party President.
