Thiruvananthapuram:
The results of the Kerala Assembly elections 2021 are expected to be declared today after the counting of votes. The Kerala assembly elections were held in a single phase on 6 April. Out of nearly 2.67 crore voters in Kerala, 74 per cent voted despite the increase in coronovirus. The main contest is between the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF). Kerala’s exit poll predicted that the Left Front would potentially retain power. The LDF is expected to win 85 out of 140 seats in five exit polls overall – well past the halfway mark – and the UDF is likely to win 53 seats. BJP can win 2 seats.
