PC Thomas  |  Photo Credit: ANI Kochi: Just weeks ahead of Assembly elections in Kerala, PC Thomas-led Kerala Congress snapped ties with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) after not getting a single seat for contesting the upcoming polls. Thomas, a former Union minister, alleged that his party was sidelined by the BJP-led alliance when the seats were allocated for the April 6 polls. The faction led by Thomas would merge with the Kerala Congress headed by senior leader PJ Joseph, which is a part of the Congress-led United Democratic Front.

This came hours after the Union minister tweeted that Sreedharan will be the saffron party’s Sreedharan chief ministerial candidate in Kerala. The tweet has now been deleted. Muraleedharan told ANI that the announcement was erroneously made due to a miscommunication and was incorrect.
