WASHINGTON– Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) released the following statement in response to last month’s jobs report:
“Joe Biden just told us that America is on the move again. But based on April’s Jobs Report, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Despite every expectation to the contrary, there was little change to unemployment. Our current economic stagnation shouldn’t come as a surprise. This is a direct result, or lack thereof, of Joe Biden’s anti-growth policies. These policies have resulted in pay losses for working-class Americans, continued high unemployment and a growing sense of dread among workers who fear they may lose pay or their income in the next month. In spite of economic woes, President Biden continues to pushing shockingly anti-growth policies, including some of the largest tax hikes in American history.
