House Democrats are launching a full court press on Background Checks.
U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- House Democrats, aided by three Republicans, on Tuesday announced the introduction of H.R. 8, the so-called “Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021,” confirming reports from a day earlier that the House of Representatives under Speaker Nancy Pelosi would soon be launching a full-court press on gun control.
The announcement confirms a report at Politico stating, “Next week, the Dems’ agenda will be universal background checks, the Charleston loophole and a labor rights bill called the Pro Act as well as the massive coronavirus bill that comes over from the Senate.”

35 U.S. Capitol officers have been placed under investigation or suspended with pay in connection to last month’s insurrection.
Fox 5 reported on Thursday.
“Our Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the actions of 35 police officers from that day. We currently have suspended six of those officers with pay. Acting Chief
Yogananda Pittman has directed that any member of her department whose behavior is not in keeping with the Department’s Rules of Conduct will face appropriate discipline,” the statement read.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â Florida A&M Universityâs Marching 100 will perform as part of a Presidential Inaugural Event honoring President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
On Tuesday, the Marching 100 will perform for the âWe Are Oneâ event, which is scheduled from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
The event is hosted by the Presidential Inaugural Committee and will celebrate and honor the Black community with powerful speakers, inspiring stories and entertaining performances, according to the university.
FAMU Band Director Shelby Chipman said that about 150 band members participated in the taping of the performance, which included a rendition of Bill Withersâ âLovely Day.â
