(WTXL) — Florida A&M University’s Marching 100 will perform as part of a Presidential Inaugural Event honoring President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. On Tuesday, the Marching 100 will perform for the “We Are One” event, which is scheduled from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the Presidential Inaugural Committee and will celebrate and honor the Black community with powerful speakers, inspiring stories and entertaining performances, according to the university. FAMU Band Director Shelby Chipman said that about 150 band members participated in the taping of the performance, which included a rendition of Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day.”
