A continuing resolution to keep the government running for another week was signed by President Trump after passing in Congress Monday night.
It includes something that a Florida Representative has been working on for years. Funding for Everglades restoration, South Florida ecosystem restoration, our waterways funding as a whole.
Republican Congressman Brian Mast of Stuart says H.R. 1520 includes a record-setting $250 million in funding to restore the Everglades.
He says it will play a critical role in accelerating projects like building a reservoir to the south of Lake Okeechobee where water can be released, rather than into Treasure Coast waterways.
