On Jan. 29th, I received a copy of “A Week In The Great Eight,” from Congressman Pete Stauber entitled, “We Must Unite Our Country.” Rep. Stauber states, “Like all of you, I am shocked and dismayed by this clear breakdown of our republic. This is not who we are as a nation. We are a nation of laws, and I hope everyone who broke the law on January 6th is prosecuted.” If we are a nation of laws, does that include the laws surrounding the election of a new U.S. President? Rep. Pete signed on to the amicus brief of Rep. Mike Johnson and 125 members of the US House of Representatives in support of the State of Texas AG, Ken Paxton motion against, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, et. al. Now Rep. Stauber says, “We must unite our country.” Think about with whom we are supposed to unite.
The majority of District 8 voters supported Stauber.

Neither offensive socialist reprogramming threats nor Democratic media-conflated rioting could scare 74 million Americans from placing duty to country and God first. If incitement was punishable, why were years of Democrats’ hatred-driven incitements ignored?
RedState Columnist Scott Hounsell sees division portending a schism, two sides claiming to love America, thinking that purging “the other side” fixes everything: both can’t be true. Hounsell imagined the progressive left in charge “changing the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth amendments within months.” The Constitution wouldn’t survive.

There appear to be two ways to govern, the business way and the political way. In business, there is a boss, a few advisors, and little consensus. The reason is that time is not wasted, decisions are made, and things get done. In politics, there is group consensus, a “chain of command,” and it takes forever to get anything done.
One of the most respectful, intelligent, and genuine couples are U.S. Rep. Stauber and Jodi Stauber. Congressman Pete Stauber knows politics well and knows how to work within politics to form ethical decisions by consensus. This is no easy task.
