From a visual perspective, the Córdoba & Morales Seasons Spring Toro is fairly distinctive, with an extremely rough to the touch pale milk chocolate brown wrapper and a very interesting design around the foot. There are a number of overt veins noticeable running up and down its length and the cigar is nicely firm when squeezed. Aroma from the wrapper is a combination of rich raisins, dry tea leaves, leather, lemongrass, barnyard, cocoa nibs and generic nuts while the cold draw brings flavors of peanuts, tea leaves, lemongrass, leather, oak, black pepper and slight honey sweetness.

While the original OpusX ForbiddenX 13 had wrappers that were noticeably darker and less red than the regular OpusX, this cigar’s wrapper is actually pretty close to regular OpusX. I’m pretty sure that most people wouldn’t be able to tell if this was rebanded as regular OpusX, though it too is missing some of the red hues. Some of that might be my eyes adjusting to the black band compared to the red band, but this is pretty close. These cigars weren’t stored in cellophane, though they are wrapped in a cedar sleeve. While the cedar takes up quite a bit of the wrapper’s surface area, it doesn’t seem to impart that much aroma into the cigar. I pick up a bit of cedar aroma along with something that reminds me of copier paper as well as sage. The foot is much more vibrant with wheat, floral flavors and pizza crust. Cameroon is not the prettiest-looking wrapper. In fact, I often think
the uglier the Cameroon wrapper, the better cigar will be. That being said, this is a pretty rendition of Cameroon. It’s maybe not as pretty as an Ashton Heritage Puro Sol, but it’s better-looking than most Cameroon wrappers. There’s a bit of discoloration and spotting towards the top of two cigars, but otherwise, it’s about all you could hope for in terms of “good-looking Cameroon wrapper.” The aroma from the wrapper is relatively sweet with a bit of cocoa, slight pepper, some roasted flavors and ketchup. It’s medium-plus and lacks any of the funk that I sometimes get from Cameroon. The foot is even sweeter thanks to an artificial sweetness and some vanilla.
