Copyright © 2021 Roswell Daily Record Chaves County had another four deaths related to COVID-19 and 37 new coronavirus cases on Friday and Saturday, according to information released on those two days by the New Mexico Department of Health. Friday saw 12 new cases, while 25 were reported for Saturday. The four deaths were reported on Friday and involved three people with underlying health conditions, a man in his 30s, a man in his 90s and a woman in her 60s. Another man in his 90s who passed away had been a resident of Casa Maria Health Care Center. Three long-term care centers in Roswell remain on the list of facilities with at least one COVID case among staff or residents during the last 28 days. They are Casa Maria Health Care Center, Mission Arch Center and Village Retirement Community.

The deceased were a man in his 30s with underlying health conditions, a woman in her 60s with underlying health conditions, and two men in their 90s. One was a resident of Casa Maria Health Care Center, 1601 S. Main St., and had underlying health conditions. Of the other deaths, seven were from Bernalillo County; two each were from Luna, Sandoval and San Juan counties; and one each was from Cibola, Doña Ana, Eddy, Lea, Los Alamos and Socorro counties.
