Chaves County records 78th COVID fatality | Roswell Daily Record

County’s 63 new cases on Saturday among 1,442 in New Mexico Another Chaves County resident has died due to COVID-19, according to the New Mexico Department of Health. The county’s 78th death since March was among the 27 fatalities in the state reported on Saturday. There have now been 2,155 people in New Mexico to succumb to COVID. The Chaves County decedent was a man in his 80s who had been hospitalized and had underlying conditions. The other deaths included seven from Bernalillo County, four from Doña Ana County, three from San Juan County, two each from Lea and Sierra counties, and one each from Cibola, Colfax, Curry, McKinley, Roosevelt, Sandoval and Socorro counties. An inmate in his 70s from the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Valencia County also passed away.

1,463 new cases of COVID-19, 31 additional deaths | The NM Political Report

Andy Lyman The state Department of Health reported 1,463 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. The department also reported 31 additional deaths related to the disease. Bernalillo County had the most newly reported cases on Friday, with 418. Four other counties had 100 or more newly reported cases on Friday: Doña Ana County (137), San Juan County (131), Sandoval County (117) and McKinley County (111). DOH also reported 31 new cases among inmates at five New Mexico Corrections Department facilities. On Friday, the department reported 889 individuals were hospitalized for COVID-19, an increase of 37 people since Thursday. This could include those from other states who are hospitalized in New Mexico, but would not include New Mexicans who are hospitalized out of state.

  SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials on Friday announced 1,463 additional COVID-19 cases and 31 deaths. As of today, there are 889 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. This number may include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 out of state but are currently hospitalized in New Mexico. This number does not include New Mexicans who tested positive for COVID-19 and may have been transferred to a hospital out of state.  Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are: 418 new cases in Bernalillo County 44 new cases in Chaves County 25 new cases in Cibola County 9 new cases in Colfax County
