MSP trooper involved in 2 vehicle crash

CADILLAC — A trooper from the Cadillac Michigan State Police Post was involved in a crash Tuesday in Grand Traverse County. At 4 p.m. Tuesday, a trooper from the Cadillac Post was involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hammond and Garfield roads in Grand Traverse County. The trooper was responding to a personal injury crash near Chums Corners with his patrol vehicle s emergency lights and sirens activated, according to a press release. The initial investigation showed the trooper had stopped at a traffic signal and was beginning to edge forward after traffic stopped for him. Another driver, who was unable to see the patrol vehicle due to the stopped traffic, proceeded through the intersection and struck the patrol unit.

Around 4 p.m. Tuesday, an MSP trooper from the Cadillac Post was involved in a two-car crash at the intersection of West Hammond Road and North Garfield Road The trooper was on their way to a personal injury crash near chum s corner with emergency lights and sirens on when the crash occurred. The trooper was at a stoplight and was beginning to edge forward when another vehicle, whose driver claims they didn t see the MSP vehicle, proceeded through the intersection and hit the trooper s vehicle.
