Social media paltfooams Dr Winfred Akapanga, founder of the Ghana National Association of Entrepreneurs, has called on unemployed graduates to employ social media to market their skills and products for potential employment. “In this highly Informational Communication Technology era, Businesses cannot thrive very well without the deployment of social media and as young graduates you must take advantage of this trend to create jobs for yourselves and others instead of relying solely on government for jobs.” Dr Akapanga made the call in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, at a job fair organized for graduates by the Dansyn Innovation Social Organization, a non-profit organization operating in the region.

Youth urged to be technologically innovative

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Universal Capital (a financial NGO), Mr Martin Turkson, the 4th industrial revolution required solution-focused skills which could enable the African youth to compete with world renowned innovators such as Internet entrepreneur and industrialist, Jeff Bezoz. Mr Turkson, who addressed participants at the Ho Digital Job Fair as a keynote speaker, said it was impressive that the African youth had immersed themselves in searching and analysing factors that could create employment and income sustainability using technology.

Bolga: Dansyn ISO holds job fair for employers and job seekers By Akayeti Emmenuel DEC 12, 2020 Dansyn Innovation Social Organization, a non-profit organization operating in the Upper East Region has organized a job fair in Bolgatanga, the regional capital of the Upper East Region aimed to complement the government’s effort at addressing the graduate unemployment problem in the country. The 2020 Job Fair was attended by employers and job seekers under the sponsorship of the Mastercard Foundation, Young Africa Works Project, the World Bank, and the Ministry of Communication. It afforded employers the opportunity to share with job seekers the necessary qualities needed for gaining employment.
