Three personalities in the built environment and local governance have strongly given their support to the call for the country to have a new administrative capital.
They have, therefore, called on duty bearers to take a bold decision to initiative plans for the relocation of the capital city from Accra to another part of the country.
The three are a governance expert, Dr Eric Oduro Osae; the President of the Ghana Institution of Engineers, Rev. Professor Charles Adams, and the President of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors, Dr John Amaglo.
They agree that the move is not only necessary to deal with the congestion, over-population and flooding in Accra but also open up the country for further development, economic prospects, job creation, among other things.

The Real Estate Agency Act, 2020 (Act 1047) became law on 29th December 2020. The purpose of this law is to regulate real estate agency practice, commercial transactions in real estate including the sale, purchase, rental and leasing of real estate and related fixed assets.
Under the law, it is only a person licensed as a real estate broker who can provide services associated with real estate transactions. Therefore, any person who performs real estate services without a license commits an offence. The persons who are eligible to be issued with the license are

The Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic was officially ushered in with the inauguration of 275 Members of Parliament (MPs).
It also came with the election of a Speaker and two Deputy Speakers.
In the absence of the Speaker, either of the Deputy Speakers may take the chair when requested to do so by the Speaker during a sitting of the House without any formal communication to the House.
