About 12 to 18 barrels (500 to 750 gallons) of a low-sulfur diesel fuel and flush water mix was released in a leak Tuesday at the Chevron refinery long wharf in Richmond, according to lab analysis and technical review announced Wednesday night.

The petroleum product spill last week at the Chevron refinery long wharf in Richmond will be on the agenda when the Richmond City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In an update Wednesday evening, Chevron said as much as 750 gallons of the product were leaked into the Bay.
RICHMOND, Calif. - The California Department of Fish and Wildlife said Wednesday that the impact from Tuesday s petroleum product leak at the Chevron refinery long wharf in Richmond appears to be centered near the city s Keller Beach, but no oiled wildlife or public health impacts have been found.
In an update Wednesday evening, Chevron said as much as 750 gallons of the product were leaked.

Environmental experts in California said the Chevron oil spill in the San Francisco Bay has not caused any environmental impact so far.
On Tuesday, an oil spill occurred at Chevron oil refinery in Richmond off the coast of the bay, spilling hundreds of gallons of diesel, according to an official readout.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has not reported any environmental impacts or wildlife damages since the spill, and the Contra Costa County Public Health has not reported any public health risks as a result, according to a local ABC affiliate.
