The Pinole Police Department did not release additional details about the incident. Police initially advised people to avoid the areas of Marlesta Road between Belmont Way and Meadow Avenue and Kildare Way between Marlesta Road and Tara Hills Drive early Monday morning. Residents in the area were told to stay inside until further notice, close and lock all windows and doors, stay off the phone and only call 911 for a life-threatening emergency.
