KPRC 2 Senior Scholarship: Meet Chloe Short, the senior who says her disability has helped motivate her dedication to push forward Published:  Tags:  Congratulations, Chloe Short! KPRC 2 and Texas Mattress Makers are surprising 20 deserving high school seniors with scholarships. All students selected for scholarships have been nominated by their high schools. This academic year was particularly challenging because of the pandemic, but these students still rose above and beyond in school. The 17th $2,500 Senior Scholarship was awarded to Chloe Short from Grand Oaks High School in the Conroe Independent School District. She has been attending classes in person and has been able to maintain a 5.07 GPA. Short is ranked 11 out of 585.

The hub will only administer second shots of the Moderna vaccine Tuesday, Jason Millsaps, executive director of the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, told the court. Millsaps added that the breakdown of the site will begin the following day and should take a couple weeks before turning it back over to the Conroe Independent School District.

(Shutterstock) MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX The Centers for Disease Control updated its guidance Thursday, stating that people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for two weeks no longer need to wear masks, indoors or outdoors, with few exceptions. According to the CDC, people will still need to follow the guidelines set forth by local workplaces and businesses and will still be required to wear masks on planes, buses, trains and other forms of public transportation. Anyone traveling into the United States will be required to be tested within three days of their flight or provide proof of recovery in the last three months.
