The armed robbery happened at the Spar in Bramhall (Image: MEN Media) A group of masked thieves armed with a sledge hammer stormed a Spar shop in Stockport and ripped a cash machine open. The gang of three men piled into the shop on North Park Road in Bramhall armed with the weapon.
The shop was open to customers at the time of the incident.
The thieves then attached a chain to a cash machine inside the store, police said.
