NEW DELHI: Jaipur-based AU Small Finance Bank has raised Rs 625.50 crore by issuing shares to a set of investors through qualified institutional placement (QIP). The bank has completed the allotment of equity shares under QIP and has successfully raised Rs 625.5 crore through the issuance of 50,00,000 equity shares at an issue price of Rs 1,251 per share, the bank said in a regulatory filing. The issue was launched on March 9, with a floor price of Rs 1,181.06 apiece. The QIP witnessed strong reception from both domestic and international institutional investors and the QIP was subscribed by sovereign wealth funds, large foreign portfolio investors, life insurance companies and a domestic mutual funds, AU Small Finance Bank said.

New Delhi: Kalyan Jewellers India IPO opens for public subscription on Tuesday. The Rs 1,175-crore IPO of Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd comprises issuance of fresh equity aggregating up to Rs 800 crore and an offer for sale worth Rs 375 crore.
Kalyan Jewellers promoter T S Kalyanaraman would be offloading shares worth up to Rs 125 crore, while Highdell Investment Ltd, an affiliate of Warburg Pincus, would sell up to Rs 250 crore worth of shares through the OFS route. The company has set the price band at Rs 86-87 a share for the initial share-sale, which will conclude on March 18.
Local court convicts two for insurance fraud

Hyderabad: Two persons who had cheated HDFC ERGO General Insurance Co Ltd through fraudulent claims were sentenced to three years imprisonment by a local court on Tuesday.
The accused, B. Ravi Kumar and Pakala Yakanna, were ordered to undergo three years of rigorous imprisonment for cheating HDFC ERGO General Insurance Co Ltd. Kumar had fabricated medical receipts to falsely claim medical expenses (in the name of his wife) with the help of Yakanna.
