THE Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. on Thursday reported that two additional travelers had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI s total to 183 since March 28, 2020.
CHCC said the two new cases were identified by travel screening and confirmed diagnosis through fifth-day testing on May 26 and testing on arrival on May 27.
The individuals have been moved to the designated isolation area for close monitoring, and the CHCC Communicable Disease Investigation/Inspection team has initiated contact tracing for contacts with the highest risk of exposure.
Of the 183 total confirmed cases in the CNMI, 147 were tested via travel screening: 90 were from the U.S., 37 from a U.S. territory and 20 from a foreign country.
