Tech-U VC, DVC bag climate change research awards

The Vice-Chancellor of the First Technical University, Ibadan, Prof. Ayobami Salami, will on Wednesday receive the ‘Champion in Climate Change Research’ award.
According to a statement on Monday, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Adesola Ajayi, will also receive the award, alongside 15 other scholars who have worked in various areas of climate change.
The award, according to the statement is to be given at the event holding at the University of Ibadan in recognition of their services on Climate Change Research.
“This award is supported by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, UK, under CIRCLE Programme being funded by DFID, UK,” the organisers said in the statement.

UNITAR and Mount Kenya University are joining forces to empower people and transform lives
Thika, Kenya – To further advance the implementation of the Agenda for Sustainable Development and particularly Goals 4 of Quality Education, 16 of Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and 17 of Parnerships for Development, the Division for Peace of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has entered a new strategic partnership with Mount Kenya University with the official signing ceremony having taken place on the 8th of March 2021 in the blended format.
