Gaya Simulations has announced ENCN Kristiansand Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Prepar3D is out now.
The package is an accurate rendition of Kristiansand Airport with detailed buildings and interior modelling for the terminal and control tower. Other highlights include optional static aircraft and ground service equipment with the correct branding and vehicle types. Custom animations are incorporated throughout along with night lighting (taxi/runway lights and approach lamps).
Both the airport and surrounding area have been modelled with ultra-high-definition ground textures as well as winter effects such as snow on the ground and rooftops to capture Norwegian winters. Extensive use of ortho imagery for all of Kristiansand City and for approach over the Topdalsfjorden Fjord.
Gaya Simulations just released its Kristiansand Airport (ENCN) add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator enriching the growing simulator with another Norwegian destination.
ENCN isn’t a massive airport, being only the ninth-busiest in the country, but it gets a nice mix of airliner traffic (both regular and seasonal) and general aviation.
It also has a fairly short and relatively challenging runway with glide angles that are slightly steeper than the norm. The approach to runway 03 is very scenic, overflying the beautiful Topdalsfjorden and the city of Kristiansand.
