A Roanoke man faces life-threatening injuries after a house fire Saturday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m., firefighters saw smoke come out of the windows of a home in the 2400 block of Orange Ave NW.
James Arrington said his brother, 58-year-old Sydney Arrington, was in the bedroom when the fire started, and now he’s in the hospital.
Arrington said his brother is struggling to breathe on his own.
“I am asking everybody for their prayers. Pray for him. Just one of those things you just don’t expect. You just have to wait and see how it turns out,” he said.
