Three men arrested during an operation targeting suspected rogue traders in Cork City are due to appear before Cork City District Court at 10.30am.
The three men, all aged in their 20s, were arrested on Monday evening and detained at Togher and Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana has revealed they have since been charged.
It follows a report submitted by a woman in her 70s living alone on September 4, 2020 about work she recently had done by tradesmen at her house in the Bishopstown area of Cork.
She told gardaí that on the morning of August 24, three men had arrived at her house uninvited, and agreed to clean her driveway for €900.
A man was due to appear before Cork City District Court this morning following the seizure of nearly €50,000 of suspected cannabis in Cork City on Wednesday.
Uniformed and detective gardaí from the Mayfield District who were engaged in an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Cork city, executed a search warrant at a house in the Riverstown area of Glanmire.
During the course of the search, gardaí discovered 22 suspected cannabis plants, at various stages of growth, worth approximately €16,000.

Garda Press say the charges follow correspondence from the DPP and are part of an investigation relating to incidents which happened over a 30 year period.

Following correspondence from the Director of Public Prosecutions, Gardaí in Cork have charged a male (aged in his 70s) in relation to allegations of indecent and sexual assault.
