Earlier today, the bodies of two men were discovered at a farmhouse in near Mitchelstown.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday (26 February), Gardaí from Mitchelstown were alerted to an incident at a farmhouse and lands at Curragorm.
Local uniform and plain clothes Gardaí attended the scene supported by Armed Support Units.
A man in his 60s was discovered deceased in the farmyard.
Following a further search, the body of a second man in his 60s was also discovered in a shed on the farmyard.

The bodies of the two males remain at the scene. Dr. Margot Bolster, Locum Assistant State Pathologist, will attend the scene and post-mortems will be carried out at Cork University Hospital.

A man has been found in a Cork river hours after the killing of two brothers in a horror attack.
After a major manhunt in Corroghorm, Mitchelstown, officers recovered the body of a man from the river in a remote location.
The man s identity has not yet been confirmed, but it s believed the discovery is linked to the deaths reported this morning.

GARDAI say they are not looking for anyone else after
two brothers were found dead at a Cork farm and their brother s body was discovered in a river some hours later.
All three men were brothers and have been named locally as Johnny, Paddy and Willie Hennessy.

The bodies of two of the men were found after cops were called to a farm at Curragorm, Mitchelstown in Cork, late last night.
One of the men was discovered on the farmyard and the other man was found in a shed.
Gardai issued an appeal to the public to help them find a red Toyota Corolla van early on Friday as a double murder probe was launched.

SHOCK and sadness has consumed Mitchelstown following the deaths of three brothers on the outskirts of the North Cork town in a suspected murder-suicide.
The three Hennessy brothers, Johnny, 59, Paddy, 60, and Willie, 66 were described by locals yesterday as quiet men .
Johnny and Willie were both single and lived on the family farm. Paddy was a separated father-of-two who was living nearby.
