Mr Lynch, 45, was found dead by his family just after 4pm on New Year s day at a house in Curraheen Drive in Bishopstown on the southside of Cork city.

Man killed by stag at kennels in north Cork Updated / Wednesday, 30 Dec 2020 15:27 The man has been named locally as Ger Withers (Pic: Catherine Power) Investigations are under way after a man was killed by a stag in north Cork yesterday. The incident took place at the Duhallow Hunt Kennels in Liscarroll.   It is understood the man went to feed the pet stag but was attacked by the animal and killed. The man has been named locally as Ger Withers, a 45-year-old married father of three young children. The alarm was raised by Mr Withers wife, Maria, when he failed to return home from the kennels.

Investigation launched after professional huntsman killed by stag

Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating an accident in north Cork in which a professional huntsman, a father of a young family in his forties, was killed by a stag yesterday. The accident took place at the Duhallow hunt kennels in Liscarroll. It is understood the deceased man who is named locally as Ger Withers, a married man and a father of three young children, went to feed the pet stag at the kennels and was attacked by the animal and killed. The alarm was raised when he did not return home. Mr Withers was well known in the area and highly regarded as a skilled huntsman hunting with Old English hounds.
