Professor hosts workshop on paranormal

MORRISTOWN — So far, Hamblen County newspapers appear to be in the lead in publishing articles about ghosts in East Tennessee. That’s one of the findings that Michael Sobiech, associate professor of English at Carson-Newman University, will share in his Thursday night presentation during Walters State Community College’s Mildred Haun Conference. All of the conference’s sessions are virtual this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “The Paranormal Press: ‘True’ Ghost Stories in East Tennessee Newspapers” begins Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The Zoom session number is 962 6764 6484, and the passcode is Haun.
