Gardai have described the seizure of €211,755 in cash and the arrests of three men in north Dublin as another “significant impact” in their efforts to dismantle organised crime groups.
Detectives have seized over €8million worth of drugs after searching a car and a house in Kildare.
Two men have also been arrested as part of the seizure, the biggest drugs bust in the country this year, and are being questioned under drug trafficking legislation.
The operation was carried out as part of an ongoing inquiry into organised and serious crime in west Dublin
Gardai are investigating if at least two significant drugs gangs are linked to the massive haul.
Yesterday detectives stopped and searched a car in Kildare which led to around 60kg of cannabis herb being discovered.
A connected search of a property in the Straffan area also led to 314kg of the drug being recovered.
