Breitbart Texas consulted top Mexican federal law enforcement sources who revealed meetings at the highest levels over concerns that an alliance was appearing to be forged. A once peaceful state in central Mexico has become the country’s most violent with more than 120 murders since the start of 2021. The region is under dispute by two organizations known for extreme violence and explosives.
Since the start of the new year, Guanajuato has seen more than 120 murders–averaging 10 per day. Some of the cases were political assassinations, targeted hits, gun battles, and even mass shootings at a funeral wake. According to
Periodico Correo, as of January 12, Guanajuato recorded 122 murders.
This week, gunmen chased down and killed Guanajuato State Congressman Juan Antonio Acosta Cano during his morning jog. The attackers managed to escape. Soon after, the governor took to social media to express his condolences and call for a thorough investigation.

A group of cartel gunmen killed nine victims and injured another during a brazen attack at a home. People in the home gathered for a funerary wake in the central Mexico state of Guanajuato.
The mass shooting took place on Thursday night when a group of gunmen stormed a home in the Arboledas de San Andres neighborhood in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato. The state Public Security Secretariat confirmed nine victims had died in the attack. A tenth person sustained a critical injury.
According to the local news outlet Periodico Correo, neighbors claimed they heard more than 100 shots, some sounding like automatic fire. The gunman managed to escape before authorities arrived at the scene.
A Mexican cartel boss is disguising children as self-defense members and activists.
The cartel leader is reportedly paying them to stand at the town entrances as human shields in efforts to keep a rival cartel from attacking, as reported by Breitbart.
This cartel boss is the same drug lord who earlier ordered a hit on a Breitbart Texas writer. The cartel leader was known in the criminal underworld as El Boto. Cesar Sepulveda Arellano operates over several parts of the Mexican state of Michoacán.
