PRICE Two people are in stable condition after being stabbed in a home in northwest Price, police say.
Shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to reports of the stabbing to find two victims and several witnesses inside the residence, according to a Price City Police Department Facebook post.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Colton Samuel Powell, fled the scene. Police said that the two injured people were transported to Castleview Hospital, with one them later being life-flighted to Provo. The two were in stable condition Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
Carbon County School District alerted parents to avoid the area following the incident. After Powell fled, the district had a tentative plan for a lockdown until he was located. Powell was found in the backyard of a residence nearby at 7:17 a.m., police said.

SANDY Officer misconduct and the recently completed Utah legislative session were the two big issues at the quarterly Peace Officer Standards and Training Council meeting held Tuesday in Sandy.
The council meets, in part, to review allegations of misconduct by officers and to hand down discipline that can range from a letter of condemnation to revoking an officer s certification. All sworn officers in Utah must be certified by the agency.
Four officers were either from the Utah Department of Corrections or Adult Probation and Parole. The others were employed by Brigham City, South Salt Lake, the Carbon County Sheriff s Office, or Ogden police at the time of their violations.
DEVELOPING: Multi-State Pursuit Ends in Carbon County
A multi-state, multi agency police pursuit ended peacefully Tuesday morning (3/16) in Carbon County, just south of Belfry. Witness Mark Holloway said the vehicle was apprehended on Highway 72 at the Sunrise Ranch. Holloway added the suspect surrendered after a 30 minute standoff that involved multiple agencies.

In a post on social media, the Park County Sheriff s Office described that incident that began at approximately 9:40 am Tuesday morning on Highway 291 in Park County, WY when the suspect vehicle refused to yield to a lawful traffic stop. A pursuit began that involved the Cody Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, and Park County Sheriff s Office.
