Ngadirejo residents have been converting their organic waste into compost and are selling this to inorganic waste to private companies. They are also planting vegetables in their backyards and on unused land as part of the community’s urban farming activity and climate change adaptation and mitigation measures.

JAKARTA, Apr 7 2021 (IPS) - Residents of Ngadirejo village in Sukaharjo regency, Central Java province, had often found themselves helpless when their wells dried up or water flooded through their homes. But thanks to a national campaign called
Program Kampung Iklim, known by its acronym
ProKlim, they now have solutions to this flooding that generally occurs because of a lack of adequate water catchments.
While much attention has been paid to the ambitious climate
change
mitigation requirements in An Act Creating a Next-Generation Roadmap for
Massachusetts Climate Policy, the comprehensive climate change legislation

number of initiatives underway at the state and local level to
target the Commonwealth s anticipated need for climate change
adaptation.
This Holland & Knight alert provides a brief introductory
overview highlighting some of these efforts. A series of alerts and
blog posts to follow will analyze each of these initiatives in

A ten-man team from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) financed Climate-Change Adaptation and Agribusiness Support Programme (CASP) in Nigeria, has concluded a study tour on Financial Services Associations (FSAs) in Sierra Leone.
The purpose of the study, which spanned from 23rd -28th March 2021, was to ensure participants from Nigeria gain a deeper knowledge of the FSA model and implementation in Sierra Leone, since its establishment in 2007 by the IFAD financed Rural Finance and Community Improvement Programme II (RFCIP II).
During the course of their stay in the country, the team held an initial meeting with staff of the RFCIP II, Apex Bank, Bank of Sierra Leone, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry at the National Programme Coordination Unit (NPCU) office in Bo, where presentations were made on the project.
