HVC Groep, a sustainable energy and waste company in The Netherlands, has signed a 15-year €50 million loan agreement with the European Investment Bank. But most citizens recognise that the scientific findings are sound, and that the threat of climate change is real. And as the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) new Climate Survey shows, people are demanding climate action.
In Europe, 75 per cent of citizens say that climate change is already having an impact on their everyday lives. In China, the figure is 94 per cent; and even in the United States, 72 per cent of respondents report feeling the effects of climate change.
