Pandemic recovery: Around two-thirds of UK SMEs have positive outlook for post-lockdown future Survey data from MBH Corporation also showed that 19% of UK SMEs were very positive about their outlook, although despite the optimism only 33% expected to make a profit in 2021 Just over 60% of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are positive in their outlook for the next two years, according to a survey from MBH Corporation. The data, collected from a nationwide assessment of 288 SME owners, found that 61% are positive about their business outlook, with 19% very positive and just 6% worried about trading conditions over the next two years. Meanwhile, around 59% of those surveyed said they were even more confident about their businesses than they are about the UK economy as a whole.

Hanley-based Intercity Taxis has been acquired by MBH Corporation plc in a deal estimated to be worth between £3 million and £4 million. Intercity is one of the most popular taxi companies in the city and is regularly used by local authorities for school run services, as well as revellers and visitors travelling to and from the city centre. Its largest account is Staffordshire County Council.
