On April 8, Caledon Fire Services attended a commercial building on Marconi Court in Bolton regarding a roof fire.
While conducting their duties, an indoor cannabis operation was discovered at the location.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Caledon Detachment Community Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation and determined that there was no license for the operation located in one of the units. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at the location with the assistance of the Ontario Fire Marshalls office and Electrical Safety Authority.
Over $1.2 million of cannabis product was seized in addition to approximately $16,000 in operational equipment.

On March 29, at approximately 1:13 a.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment of the OPP, along with Caledon Fire responded to a vehicle fire on Healey Road in the Town of Caledon.
Once the fire was extinguished, a deceased person was located inside the vehicle. Caledon OPP, the Coroner’s Office and the Ontario Fire Marshall are investigating the cause of death. A post mortem is scheduled at the Centre of Forensic Sciences (CFS) in Toronto.
Healey Road was closed between Airport and Innis Lake Roads from approximately 1:25 a.m. to 10 a.m.

On March 5, at approximately 12:50 a.m., officers from the Caledon OPP conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act offence in the area of Mayfield and Kennedy Roads in the Town of Caledon.
During the interaction with the driver, property was observed in plain view which led to both occupants being arrested.
As a result of the investigation, Joshua Burnette, 23, from Scarborough, was charged with the following offences:
Unauthorized possession of weapon;
Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver;
Class G1 licence holder – carry front-seat passenger;
Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available; and
Drive vehicle with cannabis in open original packaging.
