The Murray Police Department reports a 19-year-old Wisconsin man is responsible for two days of threats against the city’s high school earlier this week. Rachel Collins (with member station WKMS) has more.
Nelson is charged with two counts of terroristic threatening, 2nd degree, related to the two phone calls about the active shooter, which are Class D felonies punishable by one to five years in a state penitentiary; and one count of terroristic threatening, 1st degree, for the bomb threat, which is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in a state penitentiary. He’s being housed at the Racine County Jail, awaiting extradition.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash from Wednesday night that sent a sheriff’s deputy to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
According to a news release, the collision occurred near the Midway community in Calloway County on Highway 641 when a sheriff’s vehicle driven by Deputy Nick Dues swerved in an attempt to miss a deer that had entered the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway, overturned and struck a telephone.
Deputy Dues was taken by ambulance to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of what are described as non-life threatening injuries.

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A deputy was injured after crashing a sheriffâs office vehicle when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road.
According to the Calloway County Sheriffâs Office, they were notified of the crash around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27 on Highway 641 South near the Midway community.
They said the preliminary investigation showed the deputy was going northbound on Highway 641 in the Dodge Charger when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer in the road. The vehicle left the road, overturned and hit a telephone pole.

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Deputies with the Calloway County Sheriffâs Office responded to 121 South in New Concord for a report of an assault.
Upon their arrival, they located and spoke with the victim, who reported being assaulted with a weapon immediately prior to calling 911.
