Nearly a week after his disappearance, search for missing Texas State student continues
Assisted by Texas Search and Rescue, deputies with Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office combed through a rural area of the county near Luling looking for 21-year-old Texas State student Jason Landry.
LULING, Texas - Nearly one week after his disappearance, the search for 21-year-old Texas State student Jason Landry continued Saturday.
Assisted by Texas Search and Rescue, deputies with Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office combed through a rural area of the county near Luling. They had planes, horses, search teams, dogs, explained Jason Landry’s father, Kent Landry.

HOUSTON Search crews are still looking for the college student from the Houston area who went missing while returning home from Texas State University.
Authorities reportedly found his Nissan Altima crashed and abandoned. It’s believed he was involved in an accident while on his way back to his home in the Sienna area of Missouri City a suburb of Houston.

The father of a Texas State University student is not giving up hope that his son will be found. All I know is my son was in a car crash, he walked away from that car crash, and he’s hurt and he’s alone and he’s out here,” Kent Landry told CBS Austin. “And I just want my boy found.”
21-year-old Jason Landry was last seen on Sunday after he left Texas State University to go home to Houston for the holidays.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Jason was first reported missing early Monday morning, after authorities found his Nissan Altima crashed and abandoned along Salt Flat Road - just outside of Luling, TX.

11:05 p.m. – Landry drives his car on Highway 80, passes under I-35 in San Marcos, continues south
11:07 p.m. – Enters Caldwell County
11:11 p.m. – Landry drives through Martindale, Texas, continues south on Highway 80
11:15 p.m. – Passes over State Highway 130 on Highway 80
11:17 p.m. – Travels through Fentress, Texas, enters Prairie Lea, Texas, two minutes later
11:21 p.m. – Enters Stairtown, Texas
11:24 p.m. – Enters the City of Luling on Highway 80, goes through the intersection of Hackberry Street (Highway 80 becomes Austin Street here)
