The medals were presented to a founder member of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and date back to the year 1930. The medals were taken from the house on the Howth Road by burglars on Wednesday afternoon 30 December when the homeowners were not in the house.

Among other items, two medals were stolen from a house on the Howth Road in Raheny on Wednesday night.  The medals were presented to a founder member of the Football Association of Ireland. The homeowners were not present at the time of the burglary. Gardai are appealing to anybody who may have information on the stolen medals to contact Raheny Garda station on 01 - 666 4300, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda station. Gardaí in Raheny are investigating a burglary that occurred in Raheny. These medals were stolen during the burglary and they were presented to a founder member of the FAI.
